Welcome! Thanks for visiting. When I was a little kid I remember telling
my dad, "Life is like a movie." Well, that's not completely true because movies aren't supposed to have many boring parts. At least not the really great movies anyway. But life has plenty of them, like when you're on the toilet
sometimes. (Unless you like to sit there and read for a bit, like some men do).

So in this sense, it's probably more accurate to say movies are more like life -- without the boring parts. Art imitates life. But Oscar Wilde wrote, in his 1889 essay The Decay of Lying, that "life imitates art more than art imitates life (because) the self-conscious aim of life is to find expression, and that art offers it certain beautiful forms through which it may realise that energy." I agree with this, but I still think movies have fewer boring parts, especially if you had a movie that was the same length as a life.

But the idea that life is a series of scenes with many twists and turns, lessons to be learned, and interesting characters, is very much like a movie. And usually when I come to a crossroads or some moving event or person in my life, I let my dad know – often with a matter-of-fact reverence for the mystery of the universe – that "we're still in the movie." We don't have much of a choice, really. It's an amazing journey, this thing called life.

And I've finally accepted that my life has down come to this: I AM an actor and there's not a darn thing I can do to stop that. I'm completely happy and at peace with this acceptance. My "actor-ness" is burning inside me and must be constantly fed so it can burn and burn; so that I don't shrivel up without any more fuel.

Acting for me isn't just some fun, cute little art form I love to do. Hell yeah, it's fun. And I do love it! But acting is much deeper – it's about the essence of human communication. It's psychology with a giant dose of creative expression. My acting is a spiritual journey to discover and learn about myself, about others and the human condition. This is an awesome, never-ending ride. Until the moment I die. Until my movie ends.

Anyway, I hope you get some enjoyment from my little website. Please, connect with me on this wild Internet. I love meeting people from all walks of life, and learning and sharing from our experiences. Tell me your story. Tell me about your movie. I might even get all teary-eyed with excitement. We might even meet in the physical world too, which would be even more thrilling.
